Questions

What parents ask us first.

I don’t speak Yorùbá. Will I be able to keep up?

Yes — and you are in the majority. The programme is built for households where the parents understand some Yorùbá, or none at all.

You get weekly WhatsApp support with the words and songs your child is learning, so you can join in without having to study. Most parents find they pick up more than they expected, usually because their child corrects them.

Who comes to my house, and how do you check them?

A CLC tutor — recruited, background-checked, trained and continuously reviewed by us. You contract with CLC, not with the tutor.

If a match is not right for your family, you tell us and we change it. You do not have to manage that conversation yourself.

Is this childcare?

No. CLC does not offer childcare, babysitting, or unsupervised care of any child. A responsible adult is always present in the home during a session.

How much does it cost?

We go through the programme and pricing on your 15-minute consultation call, once we know your child and your schedule. Nothing is due to book that call.

How often are the lessons, and how long is the programme?

Twice a week, for twelve weeks, in your home. We agree the days and times with you when we match your tutor.

What age is this for?

The programme is built for young children — the years when a new language still goes in by ear rather than by study. Tell us your child’s age on the call and we will be straight with you about whether the fit is right.

Where do you operate?

We are launching with a limited Founding Families cohort in Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse 2 and Guzape.

If you’re elsewhere, leave your details anyway — we will let you know when we reach you.

Is there religious content?

Gratitude and reflection are a standard part of every session, alongside song, story and play. We describe this fully in the parent agreement and onboarding pack, and we are happy to walk you through it on the call.

What do you do with my phone number?

We use it to reach you on WhatsApp about your consultation, and nothing else. We do not sell or share it. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

Still wondering about something? Ask us on WhatsApp — or bring it to the call.
